Determination of step and impulse response for a second order unity feedback system

Procedure for the experiment is as follows:

3.1 Procedure: Select “To determine Step response of 2nd order system”.

3.1.1 User Input:

3.1.1.1 Firstly, adjust the values of the coefficient c of a numerator polynomial by sliding the slider.
3.1.1.2 Now adjust the value of coefficients p, q and r of a denominator polynomial by sliding the slider.
3.1.1.3 Press “Submit” button to submit the values of coefficients of numerator and denominator polynomial.

3.1.2 Calculations:

3.1.2.1 Click on the “Run” button to obtain the input open loop transfer function.
3.1.2.2 Click on “Run” button again to obtain corresponding closed loop transfer function.
3.1.2.3 Again, click on “Run” button to get the step response in time domain and the time domain parameters.

3.1.3 Results:

3.1.3.1 Once more, click on the “Run” button to obtain the step response plot in the result section and conclusions of the experiement in the Conclusion Section (bottom).

3.2 Procedure: Select “To determine Impulse response of 2nd order system”.

3.2.1 User Input:

3.2.1.1 Firstly, adjust the values of the coefficient c of a numerator polynomial by sliding the slider.
3.2.1.2 Now adjust the value of coefficients p, q and r of a denominator polynomial by sliding the slider.
3.2.1.3 Press “Submit” button to submit the values of coefficients of numerator and denominator polynomial.

3.2.2 Calculations:

3.2.2.1 Click on the “Run” button to obtain the input open loop transfer function.
3.2.2.2 Click on “Run” button again to obtain corresponding closed loop transfer function.
3.2.2.3 Again, click on “Run” button to get the impulse response in time domain and the time domain parameters.

3.2.3 Results:

3.2.3.1 Once more, click on the “Run” button to obtain the impulse response plot in the result section and conclusions of the experiment in the Conclusion Section (bottom).
