Swaging Processes

  1. Start the swaging simulation or switch on the swaging machine.
  2. Clean and prepare the cylindrical workpiece or tube before the operation.
  3. Insert the workpiece carefully into the swaging die.
  4. If required, place the mandrel inside the hollow workpiece for internal shaping.
  5. Ensure proper alignment of the workpiece with the rotary swaging dies.
  6. Set the required speed and operating parameters of the swaging machine.
  7. Allow the dies to rotate and apply radial compressive forces on the workpiece.
  8. Observe the gradual reduction in diameter or change in profile of the workpiece.
  9. Stop the machine once the desired shape and dimensions are achieved.
  10. Remove the swaged component and inspect it for accuracy and surface finish.
