To Study the efficiency of single phase transformer by load test.

Steps to perform experiment

Step1: Make connections as per the instructions given below:
(a) (1-3 , 2-4)
(b) (5-7 , 6-8)
(c) (7-9 , 10-13, 13-14)
(d) (12-15 ,8-11, 11-16)
(e) (17-21, 18-22)
(f) (21-23)
(g) (24-27,27-28)
(h) (22-25)
(i) (19-26,20-25)

Note: Click on the label to delete the connection for the corresponding node.


(a) Now, Check the connections by clicking on ‘CHECK’ button.
(b) If the connections are ‘Invalid connections’ the webpage will reload automatically.
(c) And if the connections are ‘Right Connections’ then follow the below steps.
Step 2: Turn on the MCB.
Step 3: Then, switch on the variac by clicking on the button.
Step 4:Then, Click on the variac knob to set the voltage at 230V.
Note:Once,we have click on the variac knob it automatically set to 230V. So we don’t have to set it again.
Step 5: Now, Click on 'ADD' button to take the reading with no-load.
Step 6:Case 1:Then, Click on the switch1 to Turn on the first row of the Lamp load.
Step 7:Now, Click on ‘ADD’ button to add the readings in the observation table.
Step 8:Case 2:Then, Click on the switch2 to Turn on the Second row of the Lamp load.
Step 9:Now, Click on ‘ADD’ button to add the readings in the observation table.
Step 10:Case 3:Then, Click on the switch3 to Turn on the third row of the Lamp load.
Step 11:Now, Click on ‘ADD’ button to add the readings in the observation table.
Step 12:Now, Click on ‘PLOT’ button to plot the graph.
Step 13:Click on ‘PRINT’ button to takeout the print of the webpage.
Step 14:Click on ‘RESET’ button to reload the webpage.
