Design of RC Isolated Footing with Axial Load
Procedure
Level 1:
- Input the Working Load (P) in kN
- Specify the design value for concrete strength (fck) in N/mm2
- Specify the design value for steel yield strength (fy) in N/mm2
- Enter the column width (b) in mm
- Provide the column depth (h) in mm
- Input the Safe Bearing Capacity (SBC) of the soil in kN/m2
- Enter the effective cover (d') in mm
- Once all the basic design parameters are entered, click on "Configure" to proceed to the next level.
Level 2:
- Calculate the following:
- Factored Load (Pu) in kN
- Self weight
- Total Load (kN)
- Area of Footing (Af) in m2
- Length of footing (Lf) in m
- Width of footing (Bf) in m
- Soil Pressure (Wu) in kN/m2
- After three incorrect attempts, the correct formula and answer will be displayed.
- After calculation, proceed to the next level.
Level 3:
- Calculate:
- Mux, Muy
- dx, dy
- Total depth
- After three incorrect attempts, the correct formula and answer will be displayed.
- After calculation, proceed to the next level.
Level 4:
- Calculate Astx
- Select the bar diameter to be used
- Calculate the area of one bar
- Spacing will be calculated
- Then calculate and enter the value of:
- Area of steel provided
- pt% (percentage of steel)
- After calculation, proceed to the next level.
Level 5:
- Similarly, calculate:
- Asty
- Other different parameters with conditions
- pt%
- After all calculations, click on "Submit"
