Linear combination and span
1. In block 1, click on drop-down button to select a particular value of α. Then click on the given button to visualize the linear combination of the given element in each of Case 1 and Case 2.
2. Proceeding similarly, to visualize the linear combination of two elements, click on drop-down button to select particular values of α and β. Then click on the given button to see the result in each of Case 1 and Case 2.
3. To visualize the linear combination of three elements, click on the drop-down button to select particular values of α, β and γ. Then click on the given button to see the result in each of Case 1 and Case 2.
4. Click on the “Next” button to go to the next page.
5. Click on the “Pick a point x” button to see L(S), for S={x}. (Here a button is provided for selecting a point. Hence direct clicking on the graph is not required.)
6. Click on the “Pick a point x” button in the next block to see L(S), for S={x, y}. Then click on the “Pick another point (y)” button, and thereafter click on the “on line” button or “not on line” button.
7. Repeat the same process in the next block, for the remaining case.
