Elongation Index of the Coarse Aggregate

Procedure

Step 1: Click the "Next Step" button (arrow points to it).

Step 2:

  • Click on the tray to place it on the weighing balance (arrow points to it).
  • Click the "TARE" button to zero the balance (arrow points to it).
  • Click on the coarse aggregate sample to measure its weight (arrow points to it).
  • Click the "Next Step" button.

Step 3:

  • Click on the sieve stack to assemble sieves in descending order (arrow points to it).
  • Click on the aggregate sample to pour into the sieve stack (arrow points to it).
  • Click on the lid to cover the sieve stack (arrow points to it).
  • Click on the sieve shaker to start sieving (arrow points to it).
  • Click the "Next Step" button.

Step 4:

  • Click on the 20mm sieve to select retained aggregates (arrow points to it).
  • Click on the 25-20mm slot in elongation gauge (arrow points to it).
  • Click on each aggregate particle to pass through the gauge (arrow points to it).
  • Click on the weighing balance to weigh passing aggregates (arrow points to it).
  • Click the "Next Step" button.

Step 5:

  • Click on the 16mm sieve to select retained aggregates (arrow points to it).
  • Click on the 20-16mm slot in elongation gauge (arrow points to it).
  • Click on aggregate particles to pass through the slot (arrow points to it).
  • Click on the weighing balance to weigh passing aggregates (arrow points to it).
  • Click the "Next Step" button.

Step 6:

  • Click on the 12.5mm sieve to select retained aggregates (arrow points to it).
  • Click on the 16-12.5mm slot in elongation gauge (arrow points to it).
  • Click on aggregate particles to pass through the gauge (arrow points to it).
  • Click on the weighing balance to weigh passing aggregates (arrow points to it).
  • Click the "Next Step" button.

Step 7:

  • Click on the 10mm sieve to select retained aggregates (arrow points to it).
  • Click on the 12.5-10mm slot in elongation gauge (arrow points to it).
  • Click on aggregate particles to pass through the slot (arrow points to it).
  • Click on the weighing balance to weigh passing aggregates (arrow points to it).
  • Click on the 6.3mm sieve to select retained aggregates (arrow points to it).
  • Click on the 10-6.3mm slot in elongation gauge (arrow points to it).
  • Click on aggregate particles to pass through the slot (arrow points to it).
  • Click on the weighing balance to weigh passing aggregates (arrow points to it).
  • Click the "Next Step" button.

Step 8:

  • Click the "View All Results" button.
  • Click the "Calculate Elongation Index" button.
  • Click the "Conclusion" button.
