Experiment 10: Elliptic-curve Diffie–Hellman (ECDH) Key Exchange Protocol
Aim of the experiment
To understand and implement the Elliptic-Curve Diffie–Hellman (ECDH) key exchange protocol, exploring how two parties can securely establish a shared secret over an insecure channel using elliptic-curve cryptography. The experiment aims to demonstrate the principles of public-key cryptography, key generation, and secure shared key derivation, highlighting the efficiency and security advantages of elliptic curves over traditional Diffie–Hellman methods.
