Static Indeterminacy

Objective:

This experiment aims to determine the degree of static indeterminacy of different structures having various conditions of construction

SOME FACTS:

(1) The study of static indeterminacy is closely related to the theory of elasticity, which describes the behavior of deformable bodies under external loads.

(2) The degree of static indeterminacy can be calculated by subtracting the number of equations of equilibrium from the number of unknowns.

(3) The concept of static indeterminacy is also relevant to other fields, such as electrical circuit analysis and thermal conduction analysis, where the equilibrium of a system cannot be determined by using only the equations of statics.
