PLUMBING FORK AND PLUMB BOB

Plumbing fork is a wooden or metallic 'U' shaped fork. Plumbing fork and plumb bob together are used for centering the table over the station occupied by plane table when the plotted position of that station is already known on the drawing sheet. It is also used for transferring the ground station onto the sheet so that plotted point and ground station lie in a vertical line.
