To find the percolation rate of the soil samples.
Funnel, Funnel stand, Stopwatch, Graduated cylinder, Beaker, Sand, Silt etc.
Choose one of two soil type : Sandy soil or Silty soil.
Take a funnel and put it on a funnel stand.
Take the soil sample and put it in the funnel.
Place the graduated cylinder below the funnel.
Take a known amount of quantity of water (say 100ml) and pour it slowly over the soil in the funnel.
Start the stopwatch and note down the amount collected in the cylinder after a known time and find the percolation rate of the sample.
