Outage Probability and Plotting Lab

Instructions

Use the System Parameters panel to set up your wireless environment
Place obstacles in the grid by clicking on cells (use the Click Mode buttons)
The transmitter (center) broadcasts signal to all cells in the grid
Green indicates strong signal, yellow is medium, and red is weak
Cells with red borders are in "outage" (signal too weak to maintain connection)
View the coverage metrics and analysis in the right panel
Try different environments and obstacle patterns to see how they affect coverage

The plots show relationships between distance, signal strength, and outage probability
Each point represents a cell from the grid simulation
"SNR vs Distance" shows how signal-to-noise ratio changes with distance
"Received Power vs Distance" shows power decay with distance
"Path Loss vs Distance" shows signal degradation over distance
"P(outage) vs SNR Threshold" shows probability of outage at different SNR levels
Changes to obstacles in the simulation tab will affect these plots
