The inputs start as Set = 0, Reset = 0 and Clock = 1, which holds the stored state. Click on an input bit to toggle its value between 0 and 1. The clock bit has to be 1 to start the simulation.
When the clock is 1: Set = 1 and Reset = 0 sets the flip-flop (Q = 1), Set = 0 and Reset = 1 resets it (Q = 0), Set = Reset = 0 holds the state, and Set = Reset = 1 is not allowed.
Start - Starts the simulation for the selected inputs. While it runs, the same button pauses and resumes it.
Select the speed (1x, 2x or 4x) from the dropdown menu, before or during the simulation.
The output bits Q and Q' show the stored state from the beginning. The circuit starts in the SET state, Q = 1 and Q' = 0, and keeps its state from one run to the next.
When the simulation finishes, change the inputs and click on Start again to apply another clock pulse.
Reset - Resets the simulation, sets the inputs back to their starting values and puts the circuit back in the SET state.
