Objective:

To determine the soundness of fine and coarse aggregates.

Apparatus Used:

Sieve shaker, oven, wire bucket, measuring cylinder, sieves (for coarse aggregates: 63mm, 40mm, 20mm, 10mm, 4.75; for fine aggrigates: 9.5mm, 4.75mm, 2.36mm, 1.18mm, 600µm, 300µm) mm and a pan.

Material Used:

Aggregates, sodium sulphate.
