Aim of experiment

1. The use of TCAD tools allows students to learn the fundamentals of device fabrication and characterization in a virtual environment including the determination of SPICE parameters;

2. The ability to develop skills on semiconductor process design experience (very similar to the actual experience obtained from a fabrication laboratory);

3. The ability to acquire proficiency with the use of TCAD tools and issues relating to analog and digital circuit design; and

4. For a career in circuit design (both analog and full custom digital) and/or as process engineer.

Extraction of diode SPICE parameters related to forward Current-Voltage (I-V) characteristics

N, Emission Coefficient

Rs, Ohmic Resistance
