Prerequisites :

• A VR headset that supports APK installation (e.g., Meta Quest 2/3, Pico, HTC Vive Focus, etc.)
• Google Drive link containing the APK file
• PC or directly on headset with internet access
• USB-C cable (if transferring via PC)
• Developer Mode enabled on VR headset (for APK sideloading)

Step 1 — Access the APK

• Open the Google Drive link provided.
• Download the APK file:
• If using VR headset browser, download directly into the device.
• If using PC/Laptop, download to your system for later transfer.

Step 2 — Enable Developer Mode (if APK does not auto-install)

• Meta Quest Example:
• Open Meta Quest mobile app on your phone.
• Go to Devices → Your Headset → Developer Mode.
• Enable Developer Mode and restart headset.
• For other headsets, enable via Settings → Developer Options / Sideload Mode.

Step 3 — Transfer & Install the APK

• Method 1: Install Directly on VR Headset (Easiest):
• Open Browser (Chrome/Files App) in VR.
• Open the Google Drive link.
• Click Download → Install APK.
• Grant permission when prompted: Allow Install from Unknown Sources.
• Once installed, check under Apps → Unknown Sources / Installed Apps.

• Method 2: PC to VR Headset (Via USB Cable/Sideload):
• Connect the headset to PC via USB-C cable.
• Allow File Transfer (MTP Mode) on headset.
• Copy the APK file into the Downloads folder of the headset.
• Use a File Manager in VR to locate and Install APK.
• Confirm installation and look under Apps → Unknown Sources.

Step 4 — Launch the VR App

• Go to Library / Apps Section in VR headset.
• Switch filter to Unknown Sources / Installed Apps.
• Select your app and launch the VR experience.

Step 5 — Cleanup & Testing

• Make sure permissions for camera/motion/tracking are granted.
• If app crashes, recheck correct APK build type.
• Optional: Use SideQuest or ADB Logs if debugging is required.

Optional — Using SideQuest for Better Control

• Install SideQuest on PC → Connect headset → Drag & Drop APK → Auto Install.
• Launch from Unknown Sources.

Common Issues & Solutions :

• APK not visible: Installed under Unknown Sources → Change filter in Apps menu.
• “Can’t install” error: Developer Mode not enabled → Enable Dev Mode & retry.
• Black screen/crash: APK not built for your VR platform → Request correct build.
• Installation blocked: Unknown apps not allowed → Enable Install from Unknown Sources in Settings.
