    Procedure to perform the experiment

  • Step 1: To begin the experiment, click on the MCB button.
  • Calibration of Voltmeter
  • Step 2: Once the bulbs on the MCB light up, use the slider bar to give voltage to the standard voltmeter.
  • Step 3:Vary the voltage of the slider bar 5 to 6 times and note down the voltage readings in obsesrvation table .
Calculate the error between the two readings and use this to calibrate the voltmeter.
Record the readings and calculations in a table.
  • Calibration of Ammeter
  • Step 4:Close the table switch to supply power to the lamp load.
  • Step 5: To calibrate the ammeter, load should be given to the supply, otherwise, the ammeter will show a zero reading.
  • Step 6:Click on the switch of the lamp load for which power do you want to calibrate the ammeter.
  • Step 7: Note down the readings of the test ammeter and the standard ammeter, and record them in the table.
